What to do for my Birthday

So I will be another year older on January the 18th Mum wants to do a family thing on the 16th and I think that the 16th already clashes with another party.

So I have several options:

1. Decide I am too old for this and do nothing.
2. Go to the pub with friends - pub suggestions please (probably on the 22 or 23rd)
3. Go for a meal - I like Nandos but other suggestions welcomed (probably on the 22 or 23rd)
4. Go to a Ceilidh (there is one at Pollock Halls on the 15th)
5. Something else?

Any ideas or thoughts?

Unfortunately away on the weekend of the 22nd... but would be up for ceilidh :) I'm sure a few others would be too

intemporaliter: Opinion

I dissaprove of option one and intend to continue to do so at least until I die.

I generally support plans involving a ceilidh.

My 'pub' vote is always for the Auld Hoose - the wider side of the bar (the good tables) can be booked in advance.
For meals, the important thing is to have a large group able to interact, and whilst I'm not keen on the food at Nando's, it does have the correct set-up for that, so seems a good choice.

I have ticket now so if you pick one of the others please don't do it on the ceilidh night...

I think whatever makes you happiest :).

(Although I'm busy on the 22nd/23rd as it's Phil's birthday... - but you shouldn't let that sway you either!)

Mealwise I know a lot of people like Kubla Khan's and it's good for gatherings. I guess it depends on what kind of food you like!

I'm aiming to be down for the ceilidh, so I fully endorse that idea. Hopefully some of the snow will have cleared by that time...
