I want this or something like and it sounds like a bargain at £825,000 but so out of my budget and Aberdeen is a bit far away as well.

by comparison for 825K round these parts you get: 5 beds near billericay

Not my sort of thing at all. I like old properties. But as we discussed the cost of living between Essex and Scotland is huge unless you want to live in Edinburgh then it is closer.

you think though, for a property of that size/scale etc, down this way, you could put a 1 or easily a 2 in front of that 8 :-)

erm hun

had you conisdered that with 7 rooms and 3 bathrooms, you could get other people to move in with you? like a joint multiple source mortgage? think commune but with a certain civility

Pink castles!

Even before I read the text, I was certain it was in Aberdeenshire. Pink castles are all over the county. I must have walked hundreds of miles in the grounds of the National Trust for Scotland's Aberdeenshire castles when I was a kid. Dunecht is very close to where I grew up - my dad played for the Dunecht cricket team. :-)
